The affordable Western Digital Caviar Green (WD20EADS) is the highest-capacity desktop hard drive on the planet. For about RM900($300) you can put 2TB of storage into your PC. The drive is part of Western Digital's GreenPower drive family, which strives for the ideal balance of performance, power conservation, and low noise. I tested an engineering sample—hence the absence of a rating in this review (we'll rate the shipping version, of course). Power consumption was certainly low—about at the level of the older 1TB WD10EACS—and the acoustics were generally quite good.
